My name is Luke Asquith, and I am an accredited professional counsellor and a member of the Australian Counselling Association (ACA).
My journey into mental health began with my own struggles with anxiety as a young man. Seeking therapy allowed me to understand my experiences and adopt evidence-based strategies to manage my symptoms. This inspired me to pursue a career in counselling. I pride myself on providing an empathetic, client-centred approach, ensuring that each individual feels seen and heard. I believe that everyone is unique and deserves a tailored approach that meets their specific needs and goals.
Throughout my career, I have supported individuals facing various challenges, including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and trauma. My personal experience with anxiety fuels my passion for this work. Creating a safe, non-judgmental space where you can express yourself freely is central to my practice. I am dedicated to building a therapeutic relationship based on trust, empathy, and collaboration.
Together, we will explore your concerns, uncover underlying patterns, and develop practical strategies to help you achieve your goals. Outside of my professional work, I lead an active lifestyle that prioritises health and fitness, which are vital for my well-being. I enjoy playing sports like rugby, cricket, and golf, and I value time spent with friends and family, as well as moments of solitude for reflection and recharge.
These activities enrich my life and provide a balanced perspective that I bring to my practice. If you would like more information, please feel free to reach out via phone or email.
